Don't do it alone

I was having dinner with my friend Nate tonight and told him about the film which begins this week. The goal is to eat the traditional food of Crete for three months to see what happens to me. Their food is known to be very healthy and strongly anti-inflammatory. I described the film to him and he listened intently. He then said "I have a suggestion, I would like it if you made a meal and invited 7 or 8 of your friends and shared with them your journey". I realized that before he said that to me, I had a profound sense of doing this all alone. That is not what they would do in Crete. That tiny island is known for it's hospitality and community. I have often thought that their good health was due more to their close knit communities than what they were eating. So, I want to invite others in. Join me as friends, new and old. Come with me on this adventure. You are welcome.

Preparing for an Adventure

What would it be like to fully take care of yourself in every way?
A week from now I begin a journey to find out the answer.
For three months I will be doing the following things:
1) Eating the exact diet of Crete from the 40's and 50's when the people of that island were considered the healthiest people in the world.
2) I will begin training for a mini triathlon.
3) I will vision board and meditate every morning.

We will be filming the whole process and I will be writing in this blog often so you will know what is happening.

In the next week, I will be letting you know what I am doing to prepare.

Talk to you in the morning!
